I am still smiling since yesterday. Sauber scoring 4 pts and Zhou was DOTD. After a though season it is great to have something to show for

NASCAR has debris figured out. If any sort of debris is on the track that can impede the fair outcome of the race or safety of the drivers, there is an immediate safety car and the debris is removed. If the debris is so significant it can't be quickly and easily removed, they will red flag the race to remove it. It's so simple it confuses me why F1 doesn't keep things so simple.

Double yellow = zero tolerance. Harsh but necessary.

When drivers don’t lift with double yellow no marshal should enter the track and thats why that penalty is so important.

Love Max speaking his mind. Straight forward. He set things straight without wasting time.

If we get a George vs Max for WDC in 2025 it would be absolute cinema

The people saying the Lando penalty was harsh don't understand the rules in the slightest. Double waved yellows is effectively a rad flag for that mini-sector, Lando going full speed without knowing if a marshall was on track of not is a blatant disregard for the quintessential rule in motorsport "SLOW THE F DOWN ON YELLOW FLAGS"

2 other instances of drivers not yielding under double yellows ALSO saw them receive 30+ second penalties.

It's not harsh. It was objectively the correct penalty, even Lando said so

I feel like Alonso's being really patient with AM's woes is because he knows its his last chance in F1 and he cant afford to make the boss angry

The FIA didn't screw Lando. Lando screwed Lando.

The double waved yellow flag was out and he didn't see them, and kept his foot in.

If the VSC was called it would likely have not been called before Lando went through the double yellow flag zone at top speed.

Lando needs to spend the off season reading the FIA rule book

Sorry but the penalty for lando was 100% deserved, like it or not! The only thing i had a problem with is that it took them so long to decide it.he could have had something like 5/10 more laps to fight back true the field. But not slowing down under double yellow is 100% worthy of a 10 sec stop and go penalty.

the comment of Alonso about the straight line issue was not a general point, but a post SC restart issue, where their PU software settings are wonky and make the engine think they are still behind the safety car and not delivering full power.

At the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix, Jean-Pierre Jarier received a 60 second penalty for an overtake in a portion of the track covered by a single yellow flag caution. Sure, Lando didn't do an overtake, but it was a double yellow condition, and with going flat out he gained roughly 0.7 sec, arriving almost in DRS zone with a 1.1 sec gap. The stop and go translated roughly to 35-40 seconds, which seems appropriate to me. Let's not forget, all the purists said drivers these days (Max) can get away with meaningless penalties with little to no impact, and the FIA should return to a more serious penalty system. Well then, all of those people got what they asked for. Remeber, Max got a 5 second penalty in Interlagos only because he failed to keep the delta time, when the safety car period was about to end, while he gained literally nothing... 🤷‍♂

The thing with Lewis is when he gets stressed he clearly has to vent those feelings out, and then after he does he locks back in and does his best out of a bad situation, but despite him having many times literally gone "Race's done, I give up" and then afterwards recovering a squandered race in spectacular fashion, people still seem to think he's actually about to give up every time he does so.

Max’s issue is with the two faced behavior George apparently showed, he probably threw it overboard acting like a diva trying to screw over Max. Max said he’s been at the stewards plenty of times and all drivers always showed respect but something happened that went far and above normal logic behavior, which fits George he comes off as a slimy little snake. Anyway Max got p1 back in T1 like he said to George after the meeting, so move along.

Adrian Newey: "You can fairly, easily see it if you watch a Formula One race. You can see the ones that haven't got much mental capacity leftover. And they're the ones who typically also get into tangles, accidents, and so on and so forth."

Indeed. Too think of how heated it got during 2021 and Max and Lewis at least still seem to respect each other. Curious what Russell said and did in that meeting...🤓

21:10.

The double yellows were implemented, and Lando ignored it... The stewards are not to blame.

McLaren screwed piastri over yet again. How dumb pitting him when anyone could see that the vsc was coming out. Cost him 2nd. How many points have they cost him this year? At least 50. How good was the wheel to wheel racing between piastri and leclerc. If anyone thinks that oscar only wins when it's gifted to him they are wrong. He won the sprint in Brazil on merit, won in baku on merit, won in Hungary on merit (not his fault his own team undercut him twice). Piastri should have also won in Silverstone and Spa if he had a decent team that doesn't make dumb strategy errors. Sorry but he had a great year finishing 4th in only his 2nd year.
