This packing list has everything you need to travel the world while working remotely. All the gear has been researched, tested, and stored in the overhead bin of a few airplanes. However, we don’t expect you to buy everything at once and start your digital nomad journey tomorrow. Instead, we hope that this list will prepare you for your upcoming one bag travel trip or inspire you to book a flight in the future. Packing a carry on bag doesn’t have to be stressful, and we’re here to prove it.

The rain jacket can be the most important cold weather piece. The wool works incredibly well as insulation if there's no wind. The rain jacket allows the wool to work it's magic.

We've had Darn Tough socks for over 5 yrs now and love them. Even have done a replacement pair w/ no issues, the warranty is true.

I am a big fan of the channel, and you have some fantastic reviews. I do struggle with this list as after a quick look and run down you are looking at Roughtly £3500, and that's excluding the Laptop and Phone. This isn't an achievable figure for many people and for the most part makes one bag travel seem out of the realm for most... for future videos, it would be great to see low price alternative as I can tell you as someone currently traveling for 2 years, my gear didn't cost that much including all my tech ( as a travel photographer so not cheap stuff). I would rather spend less than a £1000 on gear, and spend the remaining 2500 on the travel. and I know this is a great place to start for most people, but I worry it might scare people off when they look at a t-shirt and it cost that much ( for example). Great video as always thought, .

Also gotta say that I love the little “sidebar” moments - nice to see more geeky content interspersed within the more polished script.

I love the Field Notes notebook. I never thought I'd find enough need to carry a notebook, but after having one and carrying it every day I use it far more than expected. Video ideas, to-do lists, packing list ideas and ideas for making my own gear! Simply great to be able to jot those down on paper as soon as they enter your head.

ive been watching your videos for years and i have to say, the production value has come a long way! it was always good, but it really stands out now. from the product shots, to shots of Tom using the gear, to the way the products are fanned out on the top down camera angle. i could go on... great job and awesome video!

The laptop stand looks nice, thanks for the recommendations! My personal must-have item to pack is my HomeFi hotspot. I travel around the US a lot, and it's been super reliable and I prefer using my hotspot to insecure public networks. Thanks for the video.

Another home-run video by Pack Hacker! :-D So far I can count 9 specific things from the list that I’ve adopted to my travel kit because of PH: Kikkerland travel adapter, Victorinox nail clippers, Matador flatpak soap bar case, crystal deodorant (although I use a different brand), Heroclip, Vapur water bottle, Buff USA wool buff, Smartwool liner gloves, and the Nite ize s-biner microlock. All of them have been great additions!

My mobile tech setup is very similar! Though I haven't had the opportunity to travel with it yet.

If you were to swap out your power bank with an Anker Mag Go, you could theoretically remove the lightning cable and the phone tripod if you wanted. Then it becomes a desktop wireless charger for your phone and Airpods. I'd probably also swap the Roost Stand and the Matador Base Layer with a MOFT Sleeve, which is my favorite. I'm also partial to the Waterfield Designs Gear pouch because it can hold my keyboard along with all of my other tech. It might not save space per-say, but I'm a huge fan of the all-in-oneness.

Lastly, if you're just using the Thunderbolt dock to plug into eithernet, I'd look into a travel router. It's way more secure than plugging directly into someone else's network, and you get more range.

Obviously, this wouldn't work for everyone, but that kit is my favorite, personally. I don't get to take it much farther than the coffee shop very often, but I have a feeling it will travel well when I have the opportunity.

The NOMATIC wallet is awesome... super slim and compact, but still stores a ton of cards if needed and has quick access to your #1 card.

I used to travel constantly for business, and will be doing so again soon. As I always have my work laptop and work kit in my carry-on, I need my tech bag to fit under the seat in front. To this end, I have a TomToc shoulder bag including:

11" M1 iPad Pro 256GB with Magic Keyboard
1GB SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD
Apple Mouse 2
Apple Pencil 2
Iniu 20, 000mAh power bank with PD
Twick charger with PD and folding UK pins (I have a universal plug adaptor in my hold luggage)
AirPods Pro
USB-C to USB-C, USB-C to Lightning and Apple MagSafe puck

Wanted to add another option for the flashlight I have an Olight i1r2 eos you can get a pro version that uses usb-c and is super compact and keychain size. It also has different lumen settings. 🤙🏼 love the videos as always. I don’t airplane travel much but I do a lot of road trips and your videos help me minimize what I carry for those. Love seeing the evolution of what you all recommend to carry. Have a great day!
