Dabo signed a 115 million contract and he expects the players to play for free FOH 😂 He’s beyond delusional to think top players will play for free.

Nick Saban adapted many times in his dynasty years at Alabama, but after the 2023 season he was not prepared to adapt further. He basically said the game had evolved to a point where it was more about the players than the team, and most of the players and their families were only interested in what they could get out of a program., not what they could contribute to it. His wife had the same experience in her dealings with the players' mothers. Swinney sees the same thing Saban did, but he's younger, perhaps more hard-headed, and still believes he can build a program on character and loyalty. I think he's slowly being disillusioned by one blow-out after another and will have to make a decision this year whether to adapt or retire.

I don’t think Dabo has a recruiting problem and a loyalty issue. The transfer portal is not a magical device, they are all kids that are traded between programs. The portal really disadvantages the many to benefit the few. Backup get buried and then transfer to crappy programs. If you recruit well you don’t need the portal. Dabo has not recruited locally like he set out to do. DJ is a prime example. Played very well on the west coast, sucks on the east. Loyalty is his other issue. Riley is a horrible coordinator. Fire him and move on.

Most players in the portal are there because they didn't start at their former school lets not act there are a whole bunch of great players in the transfer portal that are gonna change your program ask FSU and Colorado how that is working for them.

I think Clemson should fire Dabo, but don’t have a good argument if they take their chances in court for refusing to pay the rest of his contract for not doing his job in good faith giving his best effort. I think he doesn’t care either way since he’ll get paid.

Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 yrs just develop guys and most will be busts or average. You need transfers to speed up the process, veteran leadership, and to fill in the holes. Dude is stubborn as a mule😂

Rebel without a cause, i don't like Clemson, I'm fine with them never using the portal, but if i'm the AD, Tabu is in my office, I say you went 9-4 last year and we used to mark GA as win before the season started. What ever you doing it aint working. Put you personal feeling aside and get with the program. These coaches have success then AD's give coaches the reigns then they get the big head, AD needs to run rough shot on Tabu, let him know he's an employee, use all the tools that's given or your replacement will.

Listen as a tiger fan I don't like what is going on either but one thing I will agree is bringing in these transfer portal kids you're bringing in guys who don't buy into the system who don't buy into the culture they just come again getting paid and you don't know if they're really going to play to the potential or not so I get it I truly do get it they can really mess up a team and they're messing up a lot of teams quiet as kept what Clemson has a whole need to do better development because we're not getting the type of players no more for other reasons

If Dabo got with the program early on, maybe Clemson actually would have had a dynasty. Instead, we got a declining program whose prestige has been tarnished for years to come. If you are an alumni, fan, whatever, it should upset you.

There problem is not wanting to use the transfer portal it is poor coaching on the offense side of the ball you can have all the talent but if your coaching sucks that talent won’t matter. What killed the offense was hiring former Clemson players to coach the offense. You get the right coaching the offense will get back to dominate. How come florida state is using the transfer portal and adapting but lost to two team they should of beat pls tell me what the excuse for that is 😂

He refuses to change because he's sick of these 18-22 year olds negotiating like this is The Godfather. He yearns for the days when student-athletes appreciated that they were receiving a free education and played the game for the glory of winning championships for their schools and sacrificing everything for the team concept. I applaud him for only recruiting high school seniors who have no intention of transferring.
