I never asked to use that AI Prompt Builder. Nevertheless, it appears in the Taskmanager automatically and uses Resources (CPU and RAM) constantly.
PLEASE do not do this. This is so unexpected and absolutely intolerable in a work environment. We are not allowed to use ChatGPT by company policy.
So please: Provide an opt-in. Ask the User if he likes to use that new feature before activating it. Default must be OFF.

Simply awful how this AI "feature" is using 500MB of memory on my Mac, creates unwanted folders in my home directory, and can't be disabled. Apparently they will allow disabling in a future release, but not having the option there from day one speaks volumes on how disconnected their product teams are from their consumers, really sad.

This is the shittiest update in a whole IT industry. Even not because of sneaky AI feature here, but now all my mouse assignments are "MISSING ASSIGNMENT" and I am not able to rollback my assignments in any way. So, my Logitech MX Master 3s is now just a standard mouse with no additional features I need. Waiting for a rollback of this update.

I just got the error message that AIPromptBuilder.exe stopped working when shutting down my PC. Seems to have the same problem than the normal logi suite, that it crashes often when shutting down the PC. Thats why google lead me here.

You're auto-installing unwanted applications on your users' computers just by updating the Logi Options+ app which is necessary for the functioning of your mice. Isn't that malicious activity?

I just want a nice bluetooth mouse that saves it's sensitivity settings across devices or has a high dpi setting. Instead you shove AI down my throat... This should be Opt IN!! Not Opt OUT!!! Especially seeing as you hide it in the background.

What do I want? Frikkin use a mouse and type. Now you’re shoving this bloatware, privacy invasive, resource hog down our throats. Thanks for not listening to your customers. I can’t wait for you to figure out how to lock down the mouse and keyboard I bought years ago unless I pay a subscription.

This is wrong at so many level. First the way we use is not initutive, you choose dropdown while building prompt. Second, Many companies are going to ban the Logitech option plus, making this feature useless, along with people expensive keyboards and mouse.

Other than that, some unsuspecting employee is going to leak some company secret to chatgpt. I will strongly suggest rolling it back and coming up with in 2-3 years when AI models will improve to run efficiently locally or AI LLM companies will join hands to create common interfaces to get served from a local office server.

I am considering leaving instagram since its search is now dregged by AI Meta. I searched by name for someone. The reply indicated the people are not famous so they couldn’t be found. It also directed me to provide more information? What the haymaker is that?

Therefore, I am warned about what my devices and apps might go wrong.


With this video, commenters and my experiences so far, I know I need a more active approach to managing apps that take such stealth addition of AI. Really, I am so triggered, I am thinking to abandon apps that I have trusted for years.

My reaction isn’t against AI of any sort as a tool. However, there’s certainly too much rush. How do you troubleshoot AI fails? How do you ensure that it does not skim data off your machine or hang around to spook sift your keys strokes or voice? How do you even read the active mode code of it?

I like the potential of it as a tool, for sure. I don’t trust absolute faith in AI (generic term ❤). The whole of it will go free-range.

once logi started adding nonsense AI features to their software, it became bloatware and my computer got way slower!! uninstalled it and got a third party program which runs a lot smoother. nobody wants this ai nonsense other than stockholders!!

Microsoft Edge and Opera literally have these features built in
So if you work on a Google Docs/Microsoft Word Online document, you can just highlight, text and let the browser do the work for you

Yeah, doesn't work anymore. Worked for a few days but now I just get an empty ChatGPT window without my text.

The default seem to be 3.5, and when i set it to 4, it jump back to 3.5 few times later~~ looks like a glitch, hopefully logi can help.

With Logitech blindly chasing the hype like this, I’m almost happy that Linux is not supported. A dedicated hardware button to plug into a third party software service. There’s certainly no change at all that this button becomes completely useless within a few years. (Not saying OpenAI is going to disappear, but I am saying that’s a good change the api as it works now will be broken eventually)
