I spend most of my life there! Cloisters on a misty morning still breathtaking after 18 years.

What a brilliant film, Norry. It must’ve felt amazing - if not a tad scary - to be up there.

Would love to go through that building. Up the tower as well. Especially now if its quiet. I guess you need to wait for an open day then?

I'm from the Philippines, and the beauty of this university is exceptional! I wish to go here someday.

My 3rd Great-Grandfather was a graduate of the University of Glasgow sometime in the 1840s. I've been trying to find out his specific year of graduation. I'm 7th generation American, by the way.😁 My ancestor was not Scottish, but rather Anglo-Irish, and he immigrated to the United States in the spring of 1850.

There is no student accommodation to rent in Glasgow. Glasgow Uni has made no provision. They happily grab student's tuition fees, whilst lectures are cancelled due to strikes. Students are faced with nowhere to live, save expensive air B&Bs. Best to look at other universities in Scotland.

Having studied at the University of Glasgow I can reliably report that it is absolutely rotten to the core.
Lectures are routinely cancelled at the last minute without warning or apology.
The workload is completely unsustainable.
The university is very anti-English.
The city of Glasgow is unsafe, particularly for women, being very crime-ridden, particulary with violent crime, and awash with drugs and alcoholism.
If you want to study in Scotland, Glasgow is best avoided like the plague. Edinburgh etc is a much better and safer choice.
