What Are Those Floating White Dots in The Sky?

Sometimes when we look up at the sky we see those tiny dots of moving light. What are those? Let's find out in detail. Retina is located at the back part of eye, in our retina there are photoreceptor cells. Photoreceptor cells detects the incoming light and send the signals directly to our brain. Finally, our brain process those signals and we see the world in front of our eyes.

On the surface of our retina there are tiny capillaries carrying blood. Full of red blood cells and white blood cells. As light enters our eyes it passes through those capillaries before reaching Photoreceptor cells.

Once light enters, red Blood cells absorbs the blue light whereas the white blood cells do not and let the Blue light through to retina. Photoreceptor cells reads this as a signal of increased brightness and we see White Blood cells as spots in sky.
