I've always wanted to do stuff like this. It would be great if I could hook this up to a pneumatic engine and put it in a little car. Imagine this thing just flying through the gears on a little drag strip (even if 7 and 8 are really long, lol).

I just finished building it and it’s really strong and slow in low gears and still has sped in the higher gears. Over all I think it is a really good design. Nice job 😊

Finally got the pieces yesterday and I've been playing around with it. Don't have an LPE, so idk if it skips under high load, but I've tested it with a motor and it works wonderfully. Shifting in motion can be dangerous, and I feel like over time it'll destroy the clutch rings. (Btw, I've been using it with the input and output switched so I can get high RPM's. 1st gear is amazing!) Its a wonderful gear box and I'm grateful that you went through the trouble to make instructions. Thanks man :)
