It's because the girl never feel loved by the guy, he only needs her to be by his side, but he never shows any affection to her.

After all of that the guy lost his memories through an accident, but when they meet again the guy fall in love with the girl. And the end.
(So in conclusion, the girl was never a substitute for him, even if he lost all of his memories and meet her for the first time, he would love her since the first sight)

Actually it's a very emotional drama, but the ending was just terrible. Should have more episodes.
