Yes. People do attach go pros to them for better film quality, and yes, the film is recorded on your phone if you do not hook up a flash drive to the given USB slot on the battery.

I don't quite understand how the ipod connects with it. Do you need a wifi connection or does it host wifi? And if yes, do you need a sim card or anything for that?
