The Heat: Spain Elections

Показать описание
Voters in Spain went to the polls on Sunday in the country’s second general election since April. It was also Spain’s fourth general election in the last four years. Spain’s Socialists won the most seats but failed to win a majority. And questions continue about Spain’s ability to break its political gridlock. Meanwhile, the far-right Vox party was a big winner, more than doubling its seats. To discuss: Pablo Pardo is Correspondent and U.S. Bureau Chief for El Mundo. Miguel Otero-Iglesias is Senior Analyst at the Elcano Royal Institute and Professor at IE School of Global and Public Affairs. Sohail Jannessari is Doctoral candidate in political science at Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University. Pieter Cleppe is Head of the Brussels office of Open Europe.
