Linux Mint 22, code-named “Wilma”, has just been released. It brings many improvements and upgrades and keeps the Linux Mint’s tradition of gradual progress. In this video, we discuss some of the main features of Linux Mint 22.

Using Linux Mint Mate 22 for three days now. No problems; feels very solid. It's now my new daily driver.

Now this was a great overview, really getting into the differences to the previous version, but straight to the point! I just installed Mint 22 Xfce on my dad's old 11" MacBook Air, and it works like a charm and really flies! Perfect everyday distro, especially great for rescuing older machines that wouldn't get updates anymore otherwise. The Xfce variant is not quite as polished as the Cinnamon variant, but it's quite a bit snappier, and still very well-rounded. The fact that the online accounts app is now working with Xfce and Mate as well is another great bonus!

Check out Big Linux when you can. I'll be honest, its one of the best distros out there and its a perfect new and advance users.

Old Net/Sys Admin here.... As usual, Great Video! I use LMDE 6. Glad the newer LM 22 features finally made their way over to LMDE. So far, no issues. Now... For Cinnamon, we just need to get Wayland working 100% in the next few years.

Having difficulty with gTTS, also pip is difficult with "Wilma " as opposed to "Virginia. "

I look forward to upgrading from 21.3 to 22 as soon as the upgrade path appears in the update app which should be in the next few days I believe. I have tried 22 in a VM and it is just what I expected. The updates passed on to LMDE are nice as well.

Honestly the no reviews in unverified apps is really stupid feature, I mean its literally UNVERIFIED so the only way to know that those sources can be trusted is via user review.

I tried using Linux Mint 22 and after installing the recommended graphics driver, and restarting, I installed Cheese and every time I would launch it ; it would crash back to the desktop. I liked it well enough, but until they fix that issue, I'm running Mint 21.3 with Windows 11 Pro on separate SSDs on my system.

Is there any way to upgrade from the previous version of mint i got from just a few weeks back to 22 without reinstalling everything?
