It's a good idea to verify the schraeder cores are fully installed before removing the core tools. Backing the plunger out slightly and making sure the pressure bleeds off can save you from having a very long day.

How would I know of my appion core removers are leaking? Cause i tried pulling a vaccum on my last three jobs & it would not pull down. It'll stay around 2, 000 microns until I pull a vaccuum through my guages & micron guage on the pump itself. I know there was no leaks in the system because I pressurized the system & bubble tested my work & system held pressure for 30min. My core removers only worked on two jobs. But when I attached my guages to the core remover & pulled vacuum it pulled down. Idk

Any chance you could do a detailed procedure for nitrogen and vacuum testing a mini split system? Thank you. You make great professional videos.

Great video! I never thought about adding a third valve core removal tool for my vacuum gauge.

Thank you again for the videos. They are great and very helpful. One question is: Why do you leave the hose connection a little loose before you turn on the vacuum pump?

Thank you Craig! as always a very nice toturial.
It really does help me a lot as new in the Hvac field.
Have you use Stay Brute 8 by any chance? I would like to know if will be a good idea to try it with positive results.

I use shrader core tools (one on each side), hook my 3/8 hose x 1/4 hose to the suction line, and my micron gauge on the liquid line. That way the micron gauge is actually as far as I can get it from the vacuum.

Hi, is it necessary to open service valves before replacing Schrader valves? Curious...thanks!

Awesome job man. Thanks for sharing. What are the effects of pulling a vacuum lower than say 200 microns?

What are your thoughts about pulling a vaccum but attaching your micron guage away from the condensor service valves and instead at the evaporator coil service valve? Also what about using the 1/4 inch female connection on the vacuum. Ive been told that the 3/8 is the only one you should use.

What is your opinion on using a tread sealant like the blue nylog. I noticed that you didn’t use it, you recommended the oil. Thanks in advance!

Do you triple evac the system. I take it that that unit is R-22 the older guys i use to work with just did liquid purge on those systems
