I love the cat watching your work and silently judging your technique .

I remember building this kit as a kid (free flight only). Couldn't get it to fly straight to save my life. Even without out rubber-band power, it had a nasty tendency to drop one wing if it ever lost momentum or got hit by a breeze. Thinking back, it was probably a weight distribution problem.

Cool build though.

Great build! I would like to see the flight (good or bad) with the after action report and/or accident report. Curious as a pilot.

That turned out really nice! Great job making those modifications. Looks like the kit quality has come a long way since the die cut (oops, darn spelling) days. Very well done!

Oof! That first take off.. I hope it's flying again!

Can you give us a list of the electrical components you used ?
I am shortly going to build this same model and would like something to go on for purchasing of those items, thanks !

When it does not show you the plane flying, you know it did not turn out well.
The moment I saw the motor of choice, I knew that was the beginning of the end.

Wow you’re really good at building these things! I’m planning on trying to build my own RC balsa wood airplane and this was very helpful!

P.S. your cat is adorable :)

Nice build. I’m working on a j3 piper 17 1/2 from dumas. Where’d you get that landing gear?

Nice build,
Do you have a recommendation for a very easy balsa build, the one in your video to me is really complicated or too many parts.
i am looking for something tral simple and not coverings gor s trainer about 40in.
thanks

Much better to build a kit bought from a local hobby shop than to build one bought from that mail order place.

Hi Troy I have a west wings hawker hart and would love to convert it to RC but I literally have no idea where to start! Do you have any resources you could point me towards? Many thanks!

Most of the parts are unavailable. Will you be able to post a new list of a different similar model?
