Douglas has done a number of great Westerns, this is a good one for sure. I had forgot Jeanne Crain was in this too as she's kinda cast against her usual shy, meek & innocent type, she's fairly tough in this.

If you like Kirk Douglas then definitely watch Lonely Are The Brave. It is an incredible film and was his personal favorite. Best to watch it without knowing anything about it.

Can't go wrong with King Vidor. Watch The Crowd. It's one of his the best silent films and doesn't get enough love.
