A brutal winter descended upon the Lakota people, mirroring the despair that gripped their hearts. Forced to Wounded Knee, surrounded by the cold muzzles of cannons, Sitting Bull and his tribe clung to a desperate hope – the Ghost Dance. But a single, shattering crack shattered the fragile peace, and the Lakota's yearning for a better world was drowned out in the roar of gunfire. This wasn't a war; it was a massacre, a testament to a relentless thirst for land and a tragic misunderstanding. Prepare to be swept into the heart of the Lakota struggle, where the spirit of resistance burned bright even in the face of annihilation.

It was the two Bluecoat Soldiers 🧥 📯 🧥who struggled with the partially 'deaf' man - Black Coyote, who refused to hand over his Winchester Rifle, during the weapons seizure in Big Foots peoples Tipis, that ignited all evil. As the shot rang out 'accidently', Yellow Bird, a Wichasha Wakan, raised a handful of dirt to the air. The soldiers erred in judgement, with the officer in charge thinking it was a signal for rebellion, which it was Not. What followed is unspeakable. Out of respect for those Lakotas 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 whose lives were cut short that day Dec 29th 1890 💙 🟥🟨 🦅⬛️⬜️ 💜 and to all Lakota descendants: Cantognake ⚘️ ❄️⚘️❄️⚘️❄️⚘️❄️⚘️❄️⚘️❄️⚘️❄️

I've been there, and heard the screams. Children used for target practice 😢❤😢❤ I'm Ojibwe but still heard the screams.

I wonder what the outcome would have been if the tribes all fought as one instead of fighting each other.

How many descriptive texts did Sitting Bull write of his conquests?
It’s sounds depressing reading/hearing of a loss and he didn’t always loose. Was he able to write from the perspective of the losers in his previous battles?
