This was a completely different build type for me with the components that went into it. The body was something I lusted after for a long while before finally pulling the trigger to purchase. I was a little resistant because of the pickup configuration. The wood pattern of the body is gorgeous. The neck and middle pickups are routed for Stratocaster sized single coil pickups and the bridge is routed for a humbucker.

I decided to go the way of a Stratocaster SSH wiring when I built the wiring harness. I installed a 5 way strat switch.

.022 uF Capacitor
5-way Oak Grigsby switch

Hipshot 6 string through body bridge. Part number 41060C with the .125 floor height.

Finished off with a Fender US made American Special USA Telecaster® Neck, 22 Jumbo Frets – Maple

The versatility of the sounds that can be produced by this guitar are amazing. She weighs in at 7 lbs and 11 oz. The only thing I am still going to do to her is add two Strat size pickup rings in black to the middle and neck pickup. I want a little more stability to the two pickups when installed. Other than that, she is perfect.
