Dear Chris:
I've attempted to keep Java fern a few times. But, after doing well for a while it just dies off, even when I keep it in a tank with liquid fertilizers or a tank with potting soil in the substrate which puts nutrients in the water column, where this, epiphytic plant should absorb them.
Though I've returned to fancy guppies several times, I've never been able to get Endler's livebearers. I asked the manager at my, favorite pet store if he ever carries them. He told me that he doesn't carry them anymore because they don't sell. His patrons say they are just common guppies. I think this fish has a subdued beauty and would like to keep it. But, I'm hesitant to order them online.
The root tabs you are using along with the liquid fertilizer appears to be giving you great results with your plants. The fish appear healthy and happy, as well. Thank you for posting this, interesting update of your, terrific set up.

I wish someone in my family would throw out a fish tank once in a while 😩 I did score a 30 gallon and stand from my local Goodwill for like $15 though, so, can't complain.

This tank is so beautiful too! I love the contrast of the dark driftwood and rich greens with the lighter substrate. Even though we all love the fish tank reviews, I also like seeing the personal tanks. They, and everyone elses amazing tanks, inspire me to keep trying to up my skills in this hobby and do better with each tank!
