"Sorry, there's no money for you guys, " says the guy who made hundreds of millions last year profiting from the writers' efforts.

Seems to be a trend in every industry. The people who do the work at lower levels get paid a lot less than they're worth. Too much money going to executives

Just about everybody else involved with this Industry is making some pretty nice change & yet, NONE of them would even have JOBS at all - were it NOT for the WRITERS! Give them what they've EARNED & DESERVE!!

If I'm not mistaken the last writer strike brought on what I hate most about television. Reality shows

A permanent strike would be awesome. 👍

As a professional corporate writer who has written for entertainment and freelance, I wouldn’t wish this career on my worst enemy!

If I could do anything else at my age to make money, I’d do it.

My advice to young people: don’t become a writer!

It is the most unrewarding and thankless career path anyone could choose.

Do anything else that you can to make a living off of and write on the side for your own enjoyment.

This has been the worst era of writing and they want more?

It would be nice to hear someone talking about the craft and crew members who have been deeply affected by these negotiations already. Production has come to a near standstill in anticipation of this strike in the months leading up to the negotiation deadlines. That means a lot of people who have worked “gig to gig” their whole careers have been out of work as a recession looms.

Without writers the # one selling book is just a book of blank paper, which means all books are # one. They deserve more.
