How to KILL snails and other pests on new aquarium plants

I use the volume of 1 gallon of water per 1 TABLESPOON of Alum to kill any snails and pest. I recommend letting plants soak overnight. Most snails will die within an hour of being in the solution. However, I want to make sure that any snails eggs die. The eggs will turn a pure white when they die.

Yup, Potassium Alum is preferred. Snails can't survive it. I don't do pure Alum though. Potassium seems to keep plants thriving . You can soak the entire plant. Not one of my plants were affected. Got tired of snails eating holes in all my plant leaves.

I don’t really mind snails since I have 8 pea puffers to feed(but I hate MTS) what I really like this dip for is worms and worm/leach like creatures

I think you can actually just let it sit like 2/3 hours and it’ll be fine

The only way I don't take snails at home (with the new plants) is when I buy invitro plants. They are in the cup. No algae or snails. 🙈

I've tried alum, killed some, but not all....what about adding kosher salt to a planted tank, with no fish yet? Then do a big water change after?

So snails do not bother me, but things that are bacteria or parasites are what I am trying to avoid. Same solution?

What in the world was that comment about the redheadeded step kid?

Like…what??? I have 2 red heads who are calm, loving and sweet kids. Maybe HAIR COLOR has nothing to do with personality?!?

Thank you for the tips.
