Shut off oil and gas for a few days see what happens. I support Alberta from Ontario.

Stop giving foreign aid. Canada needs that aid itself.

Alberta and Sask need to leave, that’s it that’s all!

What baffles me is, why are we selling our oil to the U.S. only to buy it back double, triple the price? The math doesn't add up.

Canada has such a small carbon footprint to begin with. We shouldn't commit economic suicide to save 0.5% of the world carbon output. The less oil and gas responsibly produced in Canada the more oil and gas will be produced by less responsible countries. So whatever steps taken here ultimately will do nothing for the global environment. The demand for oil and gas is only increasing. Logically we as a responsible nation should be producing more oil to take the business away from less environmentally responsible countries. We could take that money and pay off Canada's depts and be dept free. If that isn't where Trudeau wants to take this country then the west should separate!.

Alberta needs to stop blaming the rest of Canada and hold corporations accountable. When they do so, the rest of Canada will revinvest in Alberta, making millions of green jobs. Oil is dying stop chasing it.

Can anybody explain this:
In 2019, Quebec received $ 11.7 billion from the federal as transfer payment while Alberta received none.
In 2020, Quebec will receive $ 13.1 billion of transfer payment and Alberta will receive zero.

Canada screwed it self by paying Quebec to stay as a part of the country. Alberta has had enough, and SK is getting pretty annoyed as well. Serious question for Wexit supporters: how long will the separation process take? What are all the steps that have to be taken?

As a older Albertan I really worry about the future of young people in our province. I agree with your guest nobody seems to want to take any real interest in our economy.

What alienation? It is not the first time in Canadian history where there were no Liberal seats in Alberta and Sask. Those two provinces have traditionally voted conservative and not Liberal. It's not some conspiracy now.

The economy downturn in Alberta is a man-made disaster due to lack of pipeline and Bill-C69. Alberta is forced to sell oil to US at a few dollars per barrel while the market price is $70.

Goodness gracious, Trevor is the only one of the three to speak detailed information that actually pushes this conversation forward. Thanks for having him on the show!

On a positive note there is a group working with First Nations to build a pipeline to Churchill, Manitoba. With today's icebreakers ice on Hudson's Bay is not a problem.

Alberta need to separate, stop feeding the rest of Canada.

If Alberta joined the USA, it would become the richest state in the US and taxes would be slashed by over 2/3s. The US would help Alberta sell its oil. Bill Gates is working on carbon capture technology.
Average Albertan will make 40% of what they make now, when oil extraction is stopped. Get ready to get poor Alberta.
