Thank you for sharing. What a wild experience. You make a very good point in highlighting the preparations we make for moments like these in how we are living everyday.

What a blessing! I agree 100%...the sin is when you obtain the gun to defend yourself against humans.

I have trouble with him not being charged, because he was clearly extremely dangerous and unstable and actually should have been locked up to protect society. The other thing is I am skeptical his sudden flip of the switch from murderous maniac to saying “sorry” was an actual true repentance, and not just his realising his victim was about to drive away to the police most likely, and his taking advantage of the fact this was a ‘non resistance’ Christian who would accept a feeble ‘sorry’ and then let him free of all consequences. I am much more inclined to think, that if he had been charged and sent to jail, that a real repentance could have been more possible.

The other thing is, didn’t the man resist when he was fighting back and trying to get the hammer etc? So it doesn’t seem fair to me to be implying that ‘non resistance’ is always what we are meant to do, when clearly this man himself didn’t fully ‘non resist’.

Just some honest questions I have about this story.
