Honestly it's so comforting coming to this comment section and realizing I'm not the only one who struggles to brush their teeth 🥹 I have so much shame and feel like I'm almost 30 years old and can't figure out how to brush my teeth on a daily basis and I've been trying to look into alternatives that will help me be more consistent and I feel like this might be the best option for me at this point. Someone mentioned it before, but for me it's always been an executive function issue. With ADHD I often feel like brushing my teeth is uncomfortable and a waste of my time when. I would rather spend 2 minutes doing something else more productive and it feels like a tedious chore that gets in the way of things I actually value. I know it sounds silly to neurotypicals but thats literally how my brain looks at it.

For me it’s not a sensory thing so much as an executive functioning thing. Having to actually move a toothbrush and timing, knowing where to go and when. This seems like when I really don’t have any energy it might be a good option so that I don’t have to physically think about it, while also still having my teeth brushed even if it isn’t perfect.

Thank you for your excellent unbiased review. I had thought, like many others, I imagine, that you just had to put it in your mouth and then it did its thing. I will stick with my electric toothbrush.

I got one. Its not great, but for neurodivergent, its a fun start, can use it while watching tv. Just use it 5 or 6 times in a row. Maybe brush and floss thoroughly once a day too.

So what do I do when I have kids who refuse to use traditional toothbrushes or regular electric one?! My kids are teenagers! I have been fighting this battle literally for 15years.

We dealt with sensory/oral issues. I think that would have totally freaked my kids out because they look huge so just getting it placed would have been a disaster!

I got one of these are a gift, yesterday, and have just used it. However, the instructions on their QR code didn't help me much. I went through all of the settings expecting the last setting (the light) to end automatically like the other ones did. It did not, and they don't tell you how long to use this last setting/mode for.

This was bought for me mostly for whitening since I find the whitening strips difficult to use and messy. I curious, then...does the light do anything at all? If it doesn't, then I really have no use for it as I have no problem using a manual toothbrush. I figure that this might be able to help to keep the whitening toothpaste on my teeth longer, and if that's the case, perhaps it can have a use for me. But if the light does not help whiten the teeth, I could buy something much cheaper for whitening.
