Dr. McGuigan earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Medical College. He completed his residency at the Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, followed by a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a Specialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Dr. McGuigan specializes in treating injuries and conditions affecting the hands and upper extremities, including fractures and dislocations; tendon, ligament and nerve injuries; lacerations; carpal tunnel syndrome and endoscopic carpal tunnel release; triangular fibrocartilage complex tears and wrist arthroscopy. He spent ten years serving as an orthopedic surgeon in the Army. With the goal of helping patients return to their previous level of activity, Dr. McGuigan treats every patient with respect and kindness while providing the best care possible. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
