I keep getting amazed by your EMax motors! they just keep performing even at those high power demands. 4S /6045 props and now high timing and high refresh rate - Wow! What I've read is that the higher the timing the higher the power but at the risk of overheating motors, your setup works well, so it's a really good setup!

Keep working on that half flip!  It looked good like you did it at the beginning.... where you still had the forward momentum going.  Closer to the end was cool too, but the earlier one was great!

Absolutely awesome power for the cost...I am a noob but also soooo tempted to do this to my current build. I have a quad already but I am building a 250 on a ZMR frame - with exactly this kind of adrenaline rush in mind.  What batteries are you using and what flight times are you getting Julian?

So did you do a thrust test on med-high or high on 3s? Do you think it helped because your on 4s or do you think upping the timing to med high or high helps on 3s also? Have you flown it yet on high and 22khz on 3s? Sorry for so many questions but your info is invaluable to me since you have a thrust tester and the same esc's and similar motors. Thanks for the help!

Wow! I'm surprised you could do this with 12A ESCs. I plan on using the SN20s. Looks like my Emax 2204/3s/6045 is getting bumped up to 4s....

Looks good man, so have you noticed any difference since switching to 22khz? What about with the timing? I have a zmr 250 with sunny x2204s and eMax 12a, been running them stock but soon will switch to 22khz and thinking about moving to med-high timing, any thoughts? I'm on 3s btw.

hast du die Emax ESCs geflashed oder nur eingestellt? Habe jetzt das Komplettset von Rahmen über ESC und Motoren von Emax. Und eine cc3d. Laut der anleitung der ESC sind diese ja nicht Simonk mäßig eingestellt. Hast du die einstellungen selbst vorgenommen? Gruß

Hi sir... i need some advice... im running a cc3d on dys 1806 2300kv motor, emax 12a esc simonk (blheli Firmware), timing settings set to high and 22kHz refresh rate. Currently running 3s 40c nanotech lipo (traxxas).. my question is will it run on 4s without smoking all of those components? I have the dual bec pdb install on that setup so i have no worries on my fpv gear...thanks in advance =)
Frame is Nighthawk 250pro (quav 250 clone, but more like 280sized quad) can handle 6" props

Did you flash blheli to the emaxes? I am trying to pick an ESC and the emaxes are cheap, but I am confused by various threads on rc groups. People are saying that they are silabs chips which cant even run simonk, so I am trying to figure out how to flash them, or if its possible to flash them at all, with blheli 13 and get oneshot 125 and damped light working. Any input is appreciated.

Do i use the BEC when i plug the  cables from the ESC into the reciever and the reciever provides power to the FC?
