It never grabs my hair like that. I have a lot - I mean really a lot - of hair. it grabs maybe a thin layer and it will take me forever to do curly hair. I think I'll give up curling my hair. I've tried just about everything. The Shark styler is great, I really think I have too much hair for any curly hairstyle.
