Finite element analysis (FEA) is the process of simulating the behavior of a part or assembly under given conditions so that it can be assessed using the finite element method (FEM).

Meshing is an integral part of the engineering simulation process where complex geometries are divided into simple elements that can be used as discrete local approximations of the larger domain. The mesh influences the accuracy, convergence and speed of the simulation.

1D example is wrong because the line you draw is has value of both (x, y) non of them are if you draw the line on the x line it is called true 1D because now it has only x dimension data and y is zero
1D : (x, 0, 0), (0, y, 0), (0, 0, z)
2D : (x, y, 0), (0, y, z), (x, 0, z)
3D : (x, y, z)
