How to Use Quora

Quora is a question and answer platform that dates back to 2009. It currently gets over 550 million visits per month.

All the content on Quora is user-generated. Users can ask questions and anyone can answer that questions. You can think of it as a blend of a search engine, social media, content site,s and a fantastic marketing tool for businesses.

It’s also similar to social media platforms where you can create a profile, follow topics, follow other users and create your own collections with Quora Spaces.

Quora is free to use and makes money by running ads on the home page, similar to Facebook and other social media platforms.

Next, search through your home page or use the search field to find the content you are interested in and upvote your favorite.

Then, ask a question. If it’s already on Quora, you can just read the existing answer.

Complete your profile with your credentials and finally, answer a question.

Instead of answering the questions QUORA likes to show off and dissect the question, FOR instance someone asked what does '' take it comes when it comes '' mean? and Quora went on to discuss old English and dissect the word ''Whence''. That quote means ; if the person's comment [or insult] came from an ignorant person who is just trying to be antagonistic then ignore it but if it came form a knowledgeable person who is trying to help you; consider what what was said is true.

Hi, there, Howfinity! This video is an excellent intro to Quora.  Very easy to understand.

I've been using Quora for several years, and it's been a great resource. At the beginning of my Quora adventure, I posted one question; since then I have only answered or commented on other people's questions. Now I have a really good question I want to ask, and can't figure out how to do it. I click on the red "Add Question" button on the upper right of my screen and type in my question, but the blue "Add Question" button is grayed out, and can't be clicked. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you so much!

Thank you for your effort to clarify Quora use. Good job overall, however, you keep saying "Over Here" as you point at topics with your courser. It would be much better if you would say the NAME of whatever you are pointing at, instead of saying "over here" and "over here" over and over again.

Can you create a business profile instead of a personal profile? Can the business ask a question and yhe business itself answer that question? (And in the same token - van you ask the question and answer it yourself)? Or would you have to create a 2nd acct to answer the question from the 1st account?
