Hair stylist of 27 years, with many successful alopecia clients. With the exception of minoxidil, the two most effective balding treatments I have seen are a daily multivitamin and daily scalp massage. Stress alopecia normally requires medical intervention and hereditary balding is very difficult to deal with. But for standard thinning, minor bald spots, and all over patchiness the massage with fingernails or a massage tool and multivitamin do the trick almost every time. I hope this helps.

Remember: treat your hormones first.
You can't "day spa" a hormonal issue! ;)

Just and FYI for those watching: This is a Head Spa. There are many of them in Korea and Japan and most of them do this. This is more akin to a wellness treatment, than a medical one. Find out the cause of the hair loss first! Hair health and hair loss can be two different things

I have PCOS and hypothyroidism. I was balding all over. It was especially noticeable around my hairline. I got tested and was found to be vitamin D and iron deficient. Once I started taking prescriptions for those, I noticed new hair growth a month later. I now have little awkward strands poking out in front but I’m so grateful.

This is just basic hair spa with all the hoohaa fancy magic steps added in
She's an aesthetician herself. She should actually go to a doctor to get to the root of the cause

I got my hair back with PRP (platelet rich plasma injections) topical and oral minoxidil, finasteride and spiranolactone. Tried and true treatments. It grew so much I backed off the oral minoxidil and stopped the spiranolactone altogether 👌🏼

Minoxidil and a ketoconozole shampoo work amazingly well together for hair loss

Incase this helps anyone: I was nearly bald last year after 2yrs of chronic shedding. What was happening to me was basic Telogen Effluvium. This is basically what happens when your body get stressed for some reason. It could be emotional stress, stress from a high fever, stress from surgery, having a baby, covid etc. 3mos after the stress on the body you start having accelerated hair loss. It takes approximately 3 mos after the event to start shedding because it takes about 3mos for your body to start growing a new hair which then pushes the dead hair out. I have autoimmune issues so the doctors just think for some reason my body/immune system just became ultra sensitive to and triggers. I’ve had Telogen Effluvium in previous yrs but it was just one event, loss hair and it grew back. But this time it lasted over the coarse of two yrs. This is what happened: I got a bad cold/virus and had a high fever and started loosing hair 3mos after, then 4mos later got Covid really bad due to compromised immune system, 6mos later I had a surgery, then I had some hard emotional stress that lasted several months (my husband was having an affair)😢 All this just kept the Telogen Effluvium cycle going. For 2 yrs I was loosing hair till I hardly had any left. I worked really hard staying out of public places to help not get sick, worked on my emotional stress at great length and finally after 6mos of no triggers my hair is starting to grow in. It’s very scary….Im scared to death of getting sick or anything happening to cause me stress. Also note I worked hard on nourishing my body. I really bumped up my protein and took some supplements. I had tried different essential oils, hair supplements in the past which did nothing. Once Telogen Effluvium is triggered you got to ride the wave, there’s no stopping it. Once it gets triggered those hairs die and you just have to wait till they fall out and new hairs start growing. Every time I thought the shedding was finally slowing down something else would happen and just trigger it again. I’m just hoping by really focusing on nourishing my body and doing things to relieve stress that maybe I can help prevent my body from being so sensitive to it. Just thought I would share incase it may help anyone.

Scalp massages and a peppermint oil, rosemary oil, and pumpkin seed oil tincture in a hair dye bottle, apply 1-2X per week and leave on for a few hours. It's done wonders for my husband and I.

I would be incredibly shocked if any of this stuff had an effect on hair loss, it's probably just a sponsored advert

Wouldn’t the first and second steps be a blood analysis for any deficiencies, endocrine problems and skin conditions? I find it very strange when people do all of these treatments but no thorough checkup.

As a dietitian I see this all the time with vegan and vegetarian patients who tend to overwhelmingly have vitamin deficiencies. Especially common in my South Asian vegetarian patients.

I had enlargement of the sebaceous glands in my scalp that lead to my hair loss and believe me when i say correcting the underlying issue is the only cure for hair loss or thinning hair

I am a man with long hair below my sternum, so i can really feel how you women felt about losing very stressing and sad, i cried too from a shed of 1199 hairs one day in the shower ( i counted it)

As a man with AGA and recently recovered from TE, I just nuked my DHT with Dutasteride. Oral Minoxidil and microneedling for hair growth. And it works. Lots of baby hairs from the once thin areas.
It doesn't help with all these steps that you do in only 1 day. Fighting hairloss is a long term or even forever fight so long as you want to keep your hair.

My hair grew all the way back thicker than ever when I stopped eating a vegan diet and switched to grass fed beef and beef liver. Now I eat keto, high in animal protein and fats. ❤
