Mat’s lining up in the McLaren 600LT and he’s going head-to-head against a Ferrari 812 Superfast!

Now on the face of it, you might think this is pretty one-sided. After all, the McLaren is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 600hp & 620Nm, while the Ferrari’s packing a 6.5-litre V12 that puts down 800hp & 720Nm!

But power output isn’t everything in this race… You see, the Ferrari’s also pretty heavy, tipping the scales at 1,800kg. And as for the McLaren? Well, it’s much lighter, weighing in at 1,356kg!

So how do you think it’ll play out - will the lightweight McLaren snatch it? Or will the Ferrari’s V12 push it to victory? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Matt, we would like for you to display the times of 1/4 mile in every drag attempt, because some of them are really close and we would like to see what times you get on those races as well, and not only in the final drag race. So if it is possible to include them maybe in the corner or somewhere after the attempts in upcoming videos. Would really love that, thank you MATT🥰🥰

Everybody's talking about adding all the drag times for each race but more interesting than that is trap speed, which shows which car truly accelerates quicker. ET is more a function of grip/drivetrain layout so it would be great to see trap speeds added...but I doubt it

The one stat you missed from the stats screen is power to weight ratio 442 BHP/ton for Mclaren and 444 BHP / ton for the Ferrari which explains the closeness of the drag race

Do you mind showing at the end, a braking shot from the cameraman in one piece, so it is easier to make an estimate of the total time it takes to brake?

It's insane how Carwow videos with Mat have developed and improved within these years from reviewing and drag racing cars like VW Polo to Rimac Nevera, Bugatti Nevera and Supermarine Spitfire. In future I hope Mat will review even the Space Shuttle and SpaceX Starship and Falcon 9
