Lol I rode my new cbr300r home today and I beeped the horn while trying to signal a turn in town and everyone looked at me so I had to pretend I was waving hahaha

My 300 keeps me happy, anyone can make fun of me so what! I love riding, 2 wheels and a running motor is good! If your friends laugh because you don't have a 600 they are not your friends.
Ride safe, we are all brothers no matter what we ride!

I have this exact bike and I love it. I don't want or need to go 170 mph. I'm good with my Honda CBR 300 doing 91 mph with my 6'0" 197 lb frame. I bought it brand new for under $5600. I'm good with a 300 for life.
Side note: I'm from the D.C. area and I can definitely hear your P.A. accent. 😂

I’m starting my second season on my CBR300R and I love it. It’s perfect for the city and it’s ok on the highway . It’s so much fun to ride a slow bike fast, then a fast bike slow. It’s not the bike I want to keep forever but I have no regrets so far. The speed limit in Canada is a bit slower. 65mph/ 100kph I take it to my cabin every now and again hour and a half and it’s fine.

The CBR300R is almost a perfect bike for 90% of the rider market. There is a huge market for small cc bikes - 90% of rider are looking for ever small than 300cc. Bikes that are easy to handle with speeds around 55 to 65 mph is all that is needed for 90% of riders - fun, easy to handle, comfortable and enjoyable ride is all we are after. Bring on the 150cc to 250cc and no more.

Long time dirt biker, got a 2015 cbr300r as my first streetbike 2.5 months ago! Absolutely love it. You can use the whole throttle and all of the gears, if you whiskey throttle it the bike is really forgiving. Super glad I started on it!

I'm 6'0 and 220 lbs. I have owned my CBR 300R for over 2 years. The fastest I've gone is 90 and it can go a little faster, maybe 100. I live at sea level here in NJ, while you're in the mountains of PA, so that has something to do with it.

I just recently purchased a 2016 cbr300r, had 2000 miles on it. I am 6'1" at 195 lbs, I can get mine up to a little over 100 but I didnt buy it for speed. It's a really fun little bike, super maneuverable and excellent brakes. I rode larger cruisers for 21 years and decided to go a different route with what little money I had at my disposal. Gas mileage is awesome at 70mpg, curb weight at only 375lbs. I too hit the horn a lot at first but got used to it, only complaint for me is the smaller size gas tank. 3.8 gallons but at least it has a gauge which I've never had on a bike. My other bikes were not much faster, I had a 99 750 shadow and an 04 1300vtx. What I am really enjoying is the acceleration and ability to take corners without dragging my pegs. Its also nice to be able to stop on a dime as well. Im sure bigger sport bikes can do even better but for what I am used to its a blast. I would recommend as a starter bike as long as you arent a clutch popper, I can get the front wheel off the ground in second gear. I plan on upgrading next year when its paid off but it is an awesome introduction to sport bikes.

As a 17 year old L plater. The 2017 model was my first road bike. I bought it off a lady who was incredibly nice. After 6 months of ownership and ridden daily since then I am still incredibly happy with my purchase. Amazing bike

It is impressive how these bikes settle in at 70mph, the 250 did as well. You dont expect it to be so smooth at that speed, actually smoother than the 60 mph range. good review.

It's my first bike, ridden it one season. Works great for city, country roads and highways (not more than one hour at a time though). No problem riding it at highway speeds (60-75) at all, even 2up with my girlfriend and some luggage... Filling it up at the pump can be difficult though, as you almost forget how to do it ;)

That's how Honda indoctrinates you into their system with their horn and indicator placement. All I've ever ridden are Hondas so I don't even know any different lol

Rider magazine recently featured a story where the author went across the USA on a CBR250. Great read. Can be done!

I'm 60kg or approx 132lb and I can get it up to 110mph, with a after market exhaust saving that little bit extra weight. I really love this bike for commuting, motorways and city riding. Does what you need it to do.

Definitely going to pick one of these up. Wanting to get back into sportbikes, haven’t ridden in a few years after an accident, but not jump into a modern 600 class. Want to start with a 300r and move up to a 650f in 2-3 years.

I have a Cbr300r and did a two day 750km road trip on it. 350km per day would probably be the maximum distance I can comfortably do on this bike. Epic road trip.
