"Icy wind of night, be gome.
This is not your domain.
In the sky a bird was heard to cry.
Misty morning whisperings and gentle stirring sounds
Belied a deathly silence that lay all around.
Hear the lark and harken to the barking of the dog fox gone to ground.
See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water.
And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees,
Laughing as it passes through the endless summer making for the sea.
In the lazy water meadow
I lay me down.
All around me,
Golden sunflakes settle on the ground,
Basking in the sunshine of a by gone afternoon,
Bringing sounds of yesterday into this city room.
All around me,
Golden sunflakes covering the ground,
Basking in the sunshine of a by gone afternoon,
Bringing sounds of yesterday into my city room.
Hear the lark and harken to the barking of the dog fox gone to ground.
See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water.
And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees,
Laughing as it passes through the endless summer making for the sea."

I miss the fly SWAT at the end also. I have loved this song, seems like forever. The first time I heard it, had a long day. Rolled a doobie, puffed away and laid on the couch with the headsets on and my eyes closed....end trapped in this song...until....SWAT! I laughed so hard, I just lost it. It really belongs in the song! :)

The movement of the sounds dancing through the space and time in a perfect way.

Outside Yosemite by just a few miles, lying in the shade of a 250 foot Sequoia, the calmness of the breeze in the branches of the trees, each speaker stretched to the end of it's 50 foot speaker wire tether, one upon a boulder, the other atop a thousand year old Sequoia stump - and the air seasoned by a nearby stream and the wafting of a familiar green fragrance laughs, "There can be no better intro!" for this and the following instrumental of Going to California by JPJ & Paul Gilbert.
For all which occurs after, I cannot be held responsible.

I woke up during a narcissistic dream to which I did not wish to return, and this was the perfect antidote.
