Finally, regardless of the lubricant used, a video on YouTube that explains correctly how to lubricate a bike chain, followed by the important cleaning of the excess to keep the chain clean.
Like you said... the important is that those rollers get lubed on the inside.
The lube on the outside don't make any difference and just helps your chain to get dirty.

My favorite lube as well. Get the chain clean and it stays clean because it's not a wet lube. Also, nice bike! I want that exact bike in those exact colors!

I like this lube but for better or worse, I lube and clean my chain way more than I was doing before. Maybe a good thing, but I'm now always wanting a clean chain that's freshly primed rather than oiling my chain once in a while.

Agree with and love the statement: "I like to do my own maintenance, it also allows me to stay ontop of problems before they happen". Have you tried white lighting lube and cleaner? What do you think of that, and how does it compare? And would you recommend cleaning the cassette first?

10, 11, and 12 speed chains are supposed to be replaced at 0.50% not 0.75% like lower speed chains. See Park Tool directions for their CC-2 chain checker where they specifically state this. You need to replace that chain and if you rode it longer and the new chain skips under load you waited too long and need to replace your cassette as well.

I use bike hardcore lube. When I wash my bike every Sunday I degrease chain, relube and clean bike. That being said, how often do you wash a bike and are you supposed to degrease your chain when it has rocknroll gold? Or just wash as is and simply reapply gold after wash and chain is dry without degreasing it? I bought some and just asking for when I do bike wash and probably care for my drivetrain. I'm just not used to the whole lube + solvant as I've never used that. Thanks for your video and help!

As a fellow rock and roll gold user I completely clean the drivetrain with my chain cleaner and get the cassete chainrings and pulley wheels then I dry it and lubricate after. I disagree with the majority of the liquid being a "solvent" the purpose of the oil is to actually lubricate the chain then the wax is supposed to create a film that stops dirt from staying on and from personal experience I can ride my my at least 5 times in normal MTB conditions before doing the process over

There is no OTC lube that can approach the lubrication and cleanliness of a hot dip in a solution of paraffin and motor oil . The solution I made up has lasted me over 20 years.

0.5 wear on a chain means it needs to be replaced, at least for 11 speed.

What happens if you wait half an hour instead for 2 hours?

if you have a disc break this application is not correct. Use the lower part to lubricate the chain. Also it is better because you lube the inside not the outside of the chain.
I will try the rock and roll stuff tho.
