For two decades THE WATER COOLERS have brought their unique blend of music and comedy to audiences around the world. Always dependable, always appropriate, THE WATER COOLERS writing team is a mix of professional comedy writers and people working in the "real world" and headed up by one of the creators and co-authors behind New York`s longest running comedy hit ever, TONY `N TINA`S WEDDING. A Word About the Talent
The writers and comedians working with The Water Coolers are some of the most exciting young professionals in New York City.
A unique combination of NY comedy writers and business people from around the country collaborate to create an uncommonly funny, smart, authentic take on work and life.
Their ranks include an investment banker from Dallas, an account manager / sales rep from Central Florida, an editor from Smart Money, and a cadre of accomplished NYC-based composers and lyricists, all led by Thomas Michael Allen, a writer/performer who has appeared in hundreds of national commercials, worked with Conan O`Brian and Christopher Guest and is one of the creators of Tony n` Tina`s Wedding (the longest running comedy in U.S. theater history).
The performing cast is made up of New York professionals with resumes including top comedy clubs like Igby`s, the Improv, the Comic Strip, and the Icehouse as well as Broadway productions of such shows as "Wicked," "Rock of Ages," "Legally Blonde", "The Adams Family" "Chicago" "Hair", "Pippin", "In The Heights ," "Les Miserables," "Mamma Mia," and many more.
THE WATER COOLERS TRAVELING LIGHT:
Any of The Water Coolers` performances can be delivered with their primary cast of 6 (5 performers on stage with a keyboard player) or their "Traveling Light" cast of 4 (3 performers onstage and a keyboard player).
