Couldn't have uploaded this at a more perfect time! I literally just stared at my fabrics for an hour today trying to figure out what to do 😂💜

Hello, baby noises are so awesome even at 3am. This is a fun skirt I wore these as a kid (not in the 40's). This style carried for a long time even to the 80's and 90's. The one thing I remember is, from the 70's, that clothes were made weird, if you needed to put a 2inch piece of elastic in some random place, do it. You could make a "fake" maternity garment since you're so close to your original size.

A-line skirts were an essential part of my 1980s wardrobe because I'm an extreme pear shape. And I think this skirt would pass as contemporary even today. It's the blouse and hairstyle in your photos that give that 1940s feel.

Watching these two years into the future from date uploaded but worthwhile as it shows your growth overtime as a seamstress, presenter, and a historian.

So good to see you! Lord give me a sweet sewing neighbor just like this for my Christmas presentAmen! I love it his. It’s such a simple but smart and quick skirt basic. I’m making a poodle skirt dress w/ petticoat for my 4 year old great niece. I love to sew for my great nieces and nephews. Take care and those baby coos were music to my old ears 🙏🏼💝

Subscribed today! I’m so glad to see this still alive. I sew but I stopped being motivated in making things but can you make a video on how to read those patterns?
