Africa’s first Chair in Digital Business established at Wits University

Wits University and Telkom sign a historic agreement to establish the first Chair in Digital Business in Africa at Wits Business School. This is in line with leading academic institutions around the world where the digital aspect of business is becoming an essential part of business studies.
The initial five-year funding commitment from Telkom will help to ensure with this Chair, the WBS is at the forefront of delivering important research and relevant programmes that are essential for doing business in today’s digitised world.
It is also a welcome addition to the technology revolution that is taking place at Wits University’s new innovation hub, the Tshimologong Precinct in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, where the University is driving a suite of data science and big data courses, research and projects.
