I have a theory: (in general) we don't see christmas collections being used throughout the year in the youtube beauty community because beauty gurus avoid showing limited edition products as they can't be bought anymore.

Kaleidos did something spectacular: they developed a highlighter that is soo recognisable! I knew immedietely that you are wearing it!

I see this as two different worlds. The influencers and the consumers. Influencers don't talk about these anymore because they receive so much product that to remain current, they're only going to talk about what's new, since that's what most people want to see. Especially if a palette was good but discontinued, I can see why they wouldn't promote it, or talk about it anymore if consumers can't buy it. Then there's us on the consumer side who probably still use these, but you're right, we wouldn't know because we're not influencers. Although I can see your point, I think it's like comparing apples to peaches...just because influencers don't talk about these anymore doesn't necessarily mean it's irrelevant, or bad, or unwanted, or unused, it's just the turn over rate is so high in that world...and in consumer world, they're probably still being used...I'm sure there's a consumer out there who's still loving that Carly Bybel palette and giving it the love it deserves 😊

Among my almost 200 palettes, I have to say the gingerbread house set from Too Faced last year was pretty good and I still like the palette :) I am also pro-KVD being this more neutral version of itself and also have their lolita palette.

I feel like ALL new releases, are not longer talk about once they are not new. You tube is always “recommending” the next new thing... I would love to see a video on the most hyped 2019 releases, where are they now?

The give me glow christmas palette seems to have strong longevity but thats the only one and it has an interesting color story

The only person I've heard talk about the tarte Holliday collection from last year is Smokey Glow in her worst packaging video

The only overt Christmas release that I use year-round is Give Me Glow’s Christmas Morning palette. It’s neutral enough to function as more than a flashy holiday gimmick and the quality is nice.

I like holiday collections that actually are Christmas themed, like the TooFaced Gingerbread Spice palette, even if I don't use them during the rest of the year. During the three months I use my Christmas palettes they really make me happy and I get a ton of use out of them. I've got so many palettes in my collection that I haven't reached for in years, to me it's beneficial to purchase something that I know I'll reliably use during a certain time each year, even if I might be less inclined to spontaneously reach for it at a different time.

I have used my TF spiced rum and extra spicy gingerbread palettes this year. However, I use more in fall and winter months. I did not pick up any TF this year.

I bought the muerte and Vida second hand for 200$. I regret nothing 😅 hands down my favorite palettes. Sultry was also an excellent "holiday" release.

Ugh that damn Tarte box! I was just getting into makeup then and I didn't know better! It takes up much room and the colors mostly fade into the same blah shade. Lesson learned for sure!

I have that MAC holiday blush palette and it's a total winner IMO. Beautiful finish and colours.
