Hajj 2013 begins in Mecca: nearly two million Muslims make pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia

Nearly two million Muslim pilgrims have begun the haj pilgrimage in the holy city of Mecca. Following the footsteps of the Prophet Mohammed almost 14 centuries ago, pilgrims travel from Mecca, to Mina, and then on to Mount Arafat.
