I just went leafing last weekend up through park city, through Guardsman Pass, down Big cottonwood Canyon, and it was so beautiful. The sound of the wind through the aspens when you're hiking through them is so calming. 🥰

These shots of the trees with tangerine leaves against the intense blue sky are just almost too delicious to take! I would paint it, but why? It's already perfect right there in person. And captured by the beautiful videography of Leo McEachern.

Around 1970, I went to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. One of our campsites was in an Aspen grove similar to this. It is still one of my most vivid memories of camping. Thanks for this view!!

Beautiful -- among the most cherished spots on this continent. Seeing and hearing the quaking aspen trees has always been a go-to for restoration of spirit.
But, what is that loud rumbling noise in the background? It is likely not something natural, such as a waterfall. Very ominous sound. (0:16 and beyond)

I have been watching the show since Charles Kuralt, today I was very disappointed to not see any coverage of the aftermath of hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. What I have seen on Instagram is just heartbreaking and horrible, what happened?
