We learn about the "classic authors" from 100 years ago in school, but in 100 years from now students will be learning who Sanderson was. He will go down as one of the great authors of this generation.

He's genuinely brilliant. I keep thinking how lucky we are to have an artist around with his drive for output. I can also trust that I'll automatically love anything he creates.

The teaching part also floors me. He'd be absolutely justified in keeping his secrets to himself. Instead, he's out there working to empower young writers in his genre with priceless advice. The availability of those lectures is just another point in his favor. I have such respect for Brandon Sanderson.
