► The Whale Project. 1 Month long of full resin refreshing in Genshin Impact Artifacts. To prove something, is spending money in Genshin Impact Worth it? Do whale accounts REALLY have an insane advantage over free to play players? At what rate do you get strong, high crit value artifacts from domains? Many questions like this and more are answered in this month long experiment I did on my Twitch channel. This video is one of my favorites we've ever made, I hope you enjoy :)

its not worth it (it's a game about pixels u can much rather spend that money on something irl... But if u have the funds go ahead but it still isn't better then irl purchases)

There is another way of looking at this. It's 3 months of artifacts in one month which if you extend out is a year's worth of artifact farming in 4 months.

I remember one of the first golden troupe pieces I got was from a spiral abyss box. I did the domain like twice on release but that was it. But then I pull an on set electro damage 36.6 cv goblet out of the strongbox. I literally sat there going "what just happened...?". Now, if that luck still existed when I did go farm the domain to finish the set for Fischl, that would have been nice... But alas, I still have a 4 star feather on her since that 20.6 cv 4 star is still the best I have manged to get on the set. Spending $277 a month just to farm more artifacts just sounds like paying to inflict more pain on yourself. But I guess there are people who are into that sort of thing...

I salute you for your hard work and patience in doing this project! Even before AR45 I knew that farming artifacts was pain because of the rng but only after starting farming myself did I realize how bad the rng situation was. And the fact that I get burnt out so easily doesn't help - like, one could give me a 1000 $ worth of resin and I'd still do only 4-5 domain runs a day because I find the gamble so exhausting. And that's why I really admire anyone who is hardworking enough to strive for excellent builds.

Yeah, if you look at videos from some of the whale creators, they regularly dump like 20-30 CV or even 30+ CV pieces into new ones to save on XP. I think once you justify spending $300 on a month of artifact farming on a regular basis your standards go so high that even the lower 30 CV pieces become trash.

For me, I'm okay with 0 refreshes, maybe an occasional 1 if I'm desparate for leveling mats. The fragile resin from events/BP alongside natural resin is more than enough to get pretty good pieces. Maybe not the godly 50 CV pieses, but those are hardly needed for any content.

3 40cv pieces over the course of a month with full resin refreshes is actually crazy bad. Kind of puts it into perspective how long it takes to get some of the best builds

This has been super fun!! Indeed, patience and dedication, but this just gives an idea of fast forwarding things, which is enlightening. I am quite new to the game and feel that artifact farming is just so confusing.. the artifact video that eakes did was really helpful by the way
