Leonids Meteor Shower - Peak Nov. 17-18

The Leonids are an annual meteor shower notable for delivering occasional powerful meteor storms. Every year, the Leonids peak around November 17-18. This meteor shower appears to radiate from the constellation Leo, hence the name "Leonids." Tempel-Tuttle is the parent comet of the Leonids.

watched them last night till 4am, unfortunately got a bit too cloudy to see the stars clearly so stopped then. Saw 5 streaks of light maybe but still happy I stayed up. Doing it again tonight, got my marshmallows and hot choccy ready. Just wish I'd planned earlier to find somewhere more isolated and away from street lights. But my back garden will do for now haha xD

I didn't see one shooting star!!! I spent a total of maybe three or four hours during night and morning hours on both days. I was able to locate the Leo constellation and several other constellations but the sky wasn't clear to see everything. That sucks.

As a named by Leo, Leonid Meteor shower is my favourite an astronomical event but sadly I haven't see it yet I had a change to see a Leonid meteors in last year's winter 2022 but then here was too cloudy nights so I really hope in this year's winter this november 17-18 night isn't cloudy and sky full of stars will be avaivable. I really wish to see the year's best astronomical event Constellation Leo the Lion's Meteor Shower Leonids, I believe it's an easier to see it here in a countryside without a city lights. 🌎🌍🌏🏞🌄❄️🔭📡🌑☀️🪐🌟⭐️🦁🌠🌌
