Night sight is a bit better in 4a tho. But not enough for me to upgrade from the 3a. Theyre more similar than different

I'm using the 3a. I like the design and smaller footprint of the 4a better, but I just can't justify the upgrade cause it's really the same as far as performance, camera, I don't have any problem with the battery life, etc. Maybe I'll grab it next year at a big discount.

Great video! Everything was straight to the point with the comparison. I've been using my Pixel 3a XL for a year now and is working fine. Still, I was curious about the 4a. Really enjoyed the video, keep up the good work!

And this is why I waited and ended up buying a 3a XL on amazon. glad I waited. 3a XL the overall best out all of them. I don't load my phone up with useless apps. those I have on my tablet so storage space isn't a problem.

It's also worth noting that your 3a could be up to a year old at this point, so a brand new battery like in the 4a should perform better even if it was the same size simply because it has much less wear. The fact that it was still less than 10% from it's newer sibling shows a pretty strong battery overall in my opinion.

Overall though, while the 4a is much better on paper and Google did improve on many aspects, I'd stick to the 3a if it's been working for you. Maybe the 'a' variant of the Pixel 5 or 6 would be more beneficial. Good review man!

Nice video. For over a year and a half I've constantly used my Google Pixel 3a to the limit. Now it got a crack and a loose charging port. I think it's time to upgrade. I kinda want to go with the 4a but want to to see what Google Pixel 5 has in store. Thoughts?

What do you think about the Pixel 4a camera in comparison to the Pixel 2(xl) camera. I'm particularly interested in the video camera
I feel like the Pixel 2 video cam is not so good but the Pixel 4a looks very good for what i have seen it is very good with SDR in Video like the Iphones. I don´t know if the Pixel 2 has something like that.

Hey Daniel. Great review, real user experience and not the typical spec sheet stuff. I’m considering a Pixel as secondary phone and I’m torn between the Pixel 3a xl and Pixel 4a. The 3a xl would cost a little less but it’s not about the price. I prefer wider phones for better writing experience and don’t like the new ridiculously tall phones. How about the 4a? Is it good for typing or would the 3a xl be much better. Obviously the smaller overall footprint of the 4a is appealing. Thanks

I compared my 3a to my new 4a. Seems all the selfie shots I took with the 3a were a little clearer and the color balance was better than the 4a. This was a little unexpected. Night shots the 4a picked up light pollution way more on both cameras. Another issue I've come across is nightmode takes longer to process on the 4a than it does on my older 3a. Not sure if I have a dud or whats going on. Both of these had no other tasks going on in the background other than the camera and photos app.
