The difference between and alkane and an alkene - Stupid way to remember

Is there a way to remember it is the ' e' to count as I keep mistaking the rule for the 'a' and applying the rule(which is wrong!)

I always think that the alkenes are "keen" for the carbons so forms double bonds 😂😂
