This was the first of six sessions hosted as part of the UN Global Compact Network UK's Climate Forum.

This event held in partnership with CDP kicked off the forum by convening government and business leaders to advance business adoption of 1.5°C aligned science-based targets and advance the UK governments’ net zero goal.

Speakers:
- The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng, Minister of State (Minister for Business, Energy and Clean Growth)
- Dr. Márcia Balisciano, Director of Corporate Responsibility at RELX and Chair of the UN Global Compact Network UK
- Sanda Ojiambo, CEO and Executive Director of the United Nations Global Compact
- Joakim Reiter, External Affairs Director at Vodafone Group

This fantastic line-up of speakers shared their climate objectives, showed a pathway of how companies from all sectors and sizes can commit to 1.5°C science-based targets, and supported understanding of the role that each stakeholder must play to increase climate action ambition, and ultimately transition to a net zero economy.
