How I Tricked My Bird Into Wearing an Aviator Harness | Vlog #260

Finally, my #AfricanGrey #parrot received her Aviator Harness ordered from Amazon from the Parrot University/Parrot Wizard. But putting it on was critical, because she needed to register wearing the harness as a positive experience! We couldn't force the harness on her, because it might cause her to be fearful of the harness for the rest of her life. She needed to wear the harness now that she was officially flying. Watch how I managed to get it on her problem-free! #pets

Welcome to my daily vlogs! TRAVEL. FOOD. COMEDY. SINGING. ANTS. LIFE.

I upload a new video every day at 7AM EST!

About Me:

My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first Youtube channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

😁 I feel no matter what you introduce to her she will adapt quickly and easily. You have a calm manner and patience for her and you can tell she feels that.

No it’s because of how good you are with her. You were born to take care of animal life. I believe it!

Yay! The harness arrived! Love how daddy Mikey was careful and patient in putting and taking off the harness from Ligaya. Would love to see Ligaya take her first bath.

Melts my heart. We got our African grey as a baby and she was this calm and curious when she was tiny. Sadly we didn't think of a harness so now we have a year old grey with phobias! Lol. Hope her love for treats overcomes her fear

Yay!!! She is going to LOVE bathing with you!!!

I am constantly talking to the screen watching you with her. I am so excited to see how well you are doing with her!! I love it! My babies watch with me, too, since they seem to love watching all the birds they can on the screen. Seriously, thank you for sharing your experience. It is so much fun watching her grow!

the part when you where bribeing her with seeds and getting her used to the feeling of the leash reminds me of that one scene from how to train your dragon where hiccup was getting the fake tail on toothless for the first time :p

You did such a great job with her. She trusts you I can tell. She seems young. My CAG was 5 months old when I got him. Awesome video!

That was so smart to give her the seeds and put it on the bowl!

Wow super impressed that went so fast..Im sure it wasn't fast, but all in the same sitting. She looks so good in it! It matches her tail!
When you were trying to get her to say WOWOWOW she sounded like a penguin..lol .

WHAT??! You cant be 37? You look so much younger than that like 28 max, but our 14 yr old said 'he's too wise to be in his 20s"..lol

Ligaya is so funny when feeding and she crouches ready to get more..lol

Yay she went in the shower!! Show us Ligaya in the shower, but PLEASE wear your swim suit Speedos..lol as we don't want to accidentally see your birthday suit..lol
RJ >>SO FUNNY

Hi Mikey!
I have to say that out of all the videos out there, your's is the BEST! You gave me new a new way on 'tricking' my conure into wearing the harness. I have put the harness in the cage, like a toy. That way he can get use to seeing it, and play with it.
My bird and I got off to the wrong start, by me tryng to force it on him. Now I am starting over, and sad that I didn't see your video first. This will take some time to gain his trust again, but I will be more patient this time.
I will let you know how it goes. I feel confident that your advice will work, and I am very excited about it!
Plus you rock! You have an outstanding personality, and colorful way of explaining things.
Bravo!
