Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua), Krabi, Thailand

This video documents our trip to Tiger Cave Temple, and the long climb up the 1237 steps. This was one of the best things to do in Krabi.

Tiger Cave Temple is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Krabi, and is situated in the North East of the province. There is an enormous golden Buddha at the top of the steps, and a cave at the bottom with tiger paw prints inside.

It took us about 40 minutes to climb to the very top, and we had to rest along the way. If you go, take plenty of water, clothing to cover you respectfully (tank tops and short shorts are not allowed), and a sun hat.

The monkeys (macaques) along the way provide some entertainment, but make sure they don't snatch your food, drink, or gadgets.
