The council of Jamnia had not even been convened yet and so the canon of The Torah was not finalized. He was not referring to the Torah as we understand it today and certainly not to the New Testament which would not be compiled for many years.

For one thing, most people twist pauls words(just like scripture says) and many to their own DESTRUCTION!
He can be difficult to understand.
He had to defend himself against the pharisees saying he was teaching against torah(which he wasnt)
And today, christianity seems to believe the same as the pharisees thought, but instead applaud him and worship him for it,
even to the point of saying "pauls gospel".
I once quoted Yeshua to someome only to have them tell me :"well paul would have a problem with that".
My response was, "well if given a choice of following paul or Yeshua who do you say i should follow?" And the reply was
Seems paul cant win lol.
