Dora hoped for this outcome but also feared the Russians due to the longstanding propaganda portraying them as "Bolshevik Asian hordes." However, the Wehrmacht failed to regroup and collapsed under the Soviet assault. On May 3rd, Berlin fell, and Dora found herself amidst the ruins and ashes of the city.
