What the hell is the point of having 6gb of RAM when it's still reloading everything?

Here some thing to clarify:
1. the speed of opening an app is all about the ROM memory speed and optimization of the app. In this case, those 2 games are old games with no true optimization for ART architecture. That's the reason it's so slow opening the apps, there is nothing to do with the RAM.

2. Oneplus already said that their OS is designed to close apps after 3 of them to save battery and they'll release the kernel so you can change that and have unlimited apps open. Also, with root access you can change the buildprop config and have unlimited apps. It's a software problem. For example, the S7 did a much better work with less memory and the same processor.

One thing with OnePlus is that their software is never refined upon release but they are great with performance and bug updates so I have no doubt the OP3 will be any different. I think people forget OnePlus is a small company and not as many people working on the updates as samsung or apple. js

Is the OnePlus 3 running the 3.1.2 firmware or 3.1.1? Several other reviews are saying there are no problems with memory management using the latest firmware, so the results you are getting make no sense.

Hi Ash. Great video. This test shows the performance of phone in real and lets us not get distracted by specs.
I have one suggestion to make. Can you please put the two games (Temple Run and Asphalt 8) at the end of the order of opening apps. I don't use games on my phone and I think the speedtest will be useful for people who don't use their phones for gaming and just want to find out the speed for their general day to day apps.

iphone 6s use NVMe storage which is the next level to ssd...two different devices at two different price range...definitely can live with that delay in that price but the thing is apple wins it hands down due to its hardware and not the software. obviously op3 uses cheap storage to cut the price down which affects the speed of app launches that is why flagships are always flagships and these devices with more numbers in paper dont have the quality to match them. but as said earlier, as an indian i can live with op3 than pay for iphone 6s
