Glenn has been warning for a while now that George Orwell’s dystopian novel, “1984,” reads like a newspaper today. Well, he recently stumbled upon an article that lays it all out. Glenn reviews the article from The Federalist, “15 Times 2024 Was Orwell’s 1984,” that shows just how dystopian our society has gotten: "That is where we are, America. We are living in 1984."

Dear Mr. Glen,
I live in Venezuela sadly what I see is what is reflected in this book here in this and country and now I see it happening in the states. I teach this book in high school plus a lot of additional information that you kindly provide to use as argumentative examples, and Yes! It’s so true how this historical piece of literature is so accurate and active in so many countries around the world. Censorship, disinformation and misinformation are intentional and it’s so hard to teach the children what to believe. One thing is for sure that they have understood not to trust governmental narratives until they see the full picture. Thanks

1984 is supposed to be a novel, a frightening, distopic warning of what "could" happen if we stop watching the watchers. It is _NOT_ supposed to be a _GUIDE BOOK_ !!

WOW! I grew in the 50's-60's. I was pretty protected, and I always tried to create that type of life for my children as well. I have faith in God and Jesus Christ, I'm praying for my young grandchildren, that they will be protected from all the evil that is coming. That they will be strong enough to withstand the temptations that they surely be presented with. Things are going to get much worse before they get better.
